TLDR: Had Jimmy - great experience great results great price. We were referred to Jimmy, and looking back, I think we got quite lucky. From the start, he was very straightforward about pricing and what could or couldn’t be done. No pushing or overpromising, which we really appreciated. The whole reno process was generally smooth. There were some small delays here and there (I think quite normal), but he always kept us updated and checked in, so we never felt lost. Of course there were a few unexpected costs along the way, but they were minimal and always explained properly, so it never felt unreasonable. We wanted an open concept space that’s nice for hosting, and he really managed to bring that idea to life. The carpentry especially turned out very nicely, and overall we’re very happy with how everything came together. He’s also just very easy to work with — quite chill, responsive, and someone you can trust to settle things. We’ve been staying here for about 2 months now and still really enjoy coming home to it. Friends who came over were quite impressed, and a few even said they’d want something similar for their own upcoming homes. With all the reno horror stories you hear, I can honestly say this was a really positive experience for us. Would recommend

If you're looking for a reliable ID who can navigate the complexities of an older flat, I highly suggest asking for him. Jimmy’s pricing is fair, but it’s his work ethic that really stands out. He’s always on time and never leaves you hanging on chat. What I appreciated most was his practical advice for the typical issues that pop up with resale units and his ability to pivot—I added a major request after work had already started, but he still hit the original deadline. Plus, he didn't disappear once the final payment was made; he's been just as helpful after the handover as he was on day one.
