Overall, it was great working with R1 (Nizam and the team). The design is clean and thoughtfully executed, and the carpentry workmanship… especially for the cabinets are solid, precise, and nicely finished. What stood out was their willingness to address any issues raised along the way. The team was responsive and made the effort to ensure things were resolved properly. Pricing is also reasonably attractive, offering great value for the quality delivered. As with most renovation projects, some follow-up and involvement may be needed at certain stages, but this ultimately helps ensure the final outcome aligns closely with your expectations. I would definitely recommend them to homeowners who have a clear vision of what they want. The team is capable of bringing ideas to life in a practical and well-executed way.

Their work ethic, politeness, and technical expertise were evident throughout the entire process. They made a complex project feel seamless and stress-free. We came across this IG story popped up in one of our fyps and R1 caught our attention. We were actually surprised and quite intrigued when looking through their posts and reels displaying various houses that they’ve helped built. But of course, we had to like compare and all…but we just can’t decide. So come 1 day, my wife asked and she actually felt comfortable with R1. Without much thought, we made our way to R1 showroom once appointment was fixed prior to our visit. Once there, we were greeted by Justin, one of the major ID/contractor and we sat down and discussed about the process and how to get started. Justin was very professional. The vibe among us was just right. The level of trust was just there. We talked like old friends..hahhahahaah. Justin explained to us from the beginning till the end. He was a thorough person. Took us like 2-3 hours and eventually, my wife and I did not took that long to decide to have Justin be in charged of our home. Designs, layout and timeline were all discussed thoroughly and most importantly…transparency when comes to finalising the total cost of our renovation. Justin really aided us in prioritising our needs. We were able to agree on the designs that Justin also suggested to us. Selecting materials and colours are tough! Lots of colours, textures and designs to choose from. Khai, really walked through with us. He took his time and effort to explain to us what material is right and suitable for our home. From sintered stones to feature wall tiles, Khai really made it easy for us. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 During renovation, Justin and his team really put us in ease and peace of mind. We were consistently updated by his trustworthy partner, Asyraf. From demolition period, hacking, plumbing works, groutings, electrical walkthroughs and others, my wife and I were promptly updated. Any issues or problems were carefully rectified swiftly. Their carpenter, Imran, was a pro when comes to free-hand drawings and producing the projected image of our kitchen and all the other rooms 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Muhammad and his demoliton team were the 1st team on site and they carried out their works with professionalism and most importantly, safely. 🫡 Justin, Asyraf and all the R1 team was a delight to engage with. All electrical appliances were carefully installed and tested out to ensure things are in order. Lets admit it, works carried out are impossible to be flawless, any mistakes in measurement, Asyraf will have the item sent back to be rectified on the spot. This shows responsibility and integrity, which my wife and I are really grateful for. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Their electrician, Sajib, was an efficient worker. He really helped us out for our last minute request when changing position for our electrical appliances. All our toiletries equipments were installed safely and professionally. During the final walkthrough before officially ending the renovation works, Asyraf was there to let my wife and I to see, touch and ensure all carpentry are done up nicely. All drawers are functioning well. Any rectifications and last minute requests, Asyraf gladly accommodated to us. All the kitchen cabinets Asyraf urged my wife and I to open up and see the workmanship. We were truly satisfied. ☺️☺️☺️ Overall, my wife and I were really satisfied on the overall outcome of the works. We really cannot thank R1 team enough on their quality level of works done. Thank you R1, you are indeed the Right 1 for us.

We had a good experience with R1 and are happy with how our home turned out. The final outcome is very close to what we envisioned and we’re enjoying living in the space now. R1 is a direct contractor, and since we already knew exactly what we wanted, the team was able to execute our vision well. Their workers are in-house, which helped with scheduling and allowed things to be addressed quickly when needed. The renovation required us to be quite hands-on, and we were on-site almost every day. This also meant issues could be spotted early and resolved along the way. To R1’s credit, the workers were patient and practical, and they were able to troubleshoot and adapt on-site without complaints. Their problem-solving skills really stood out. An area of improvement here could be a more concrete/black-and-white system of communicating the homeowner’s requests/needs (that were already panned out to R1) clearly to the workers. This ensures that everyone (including the workers) is on the same page, and reduces the need for the homeowner to have to repeat the directions to the workers. At times, we did need to remind Nizam about items that had already been discussed but were missed during the renovation process. However, whenever these were brought up, there were no excuses given and he ensured they were rectified. We appreciated this sense of responsibility and follow-through. Special shoutout to Ibrahim who was responsive and directly managed the workers on-site, which made communication more efficient. There were also occasions where messages or enquiries to Nizam or Ibrahim might have been missed. We understand that they handle multiple projects and are very busy, and whenever we followed up, they did respond and take action. We also appreciated the flexibility in material selection. Being able to choose higher-range European tiles and better-quality laminates made a noticeable difference to the final look and feel of the house. While the renovation and rectifications took longer than initially expected, the overall journey was still pleasant and the end result made it worthwhile. Thank you R1 for the effort and workmanship put into our home. Overall, we’re satisfied with the experience and happy with the outcome. Update: Thank you for the after-sales service to mend certain unexpected parts. We truly appreciate it!
