I engaged Reart Design for my home renovation project in Nov 2025, and while the initial consultation with Roki, Jeremy and design phase were well-presented and aligned with my expectations, also to be frank their prices are very competitive which pushed the needle towards going ahead with them.
During the renovation process, there will definitely be issues and hiccups along the way, tiling, skirting, carpentry laminates do need to be a bit more hands-on to ensure all issues were rectified which we were lucky as our new house was still convenient to visit twice a week.
Given the overall experience, I would encourage future homeowners to ensure that all design specifications and quality expectations are clearly documented, and to conduct regular site inspections to ensure alignment during the renovation process. But in the end, we were lucky to have Benny and Khan who were approachable and responsible to follow up with all the rectification works.

Unfortunately, this has not been a satisfactory contractor experience for us. There were multiple issues encountered throughout the renovation process, including overly large tile grout lines and substandard tiling workmanship. Some tiles were visibly uneven, and in certain areas it was clear that larger tiles were required, yet incorrect tile sizes were still used with excessive grouting to compensate. The lines are also not properly parallel.
The waterproofing works were also not properly executed at the outset. The workers initially waterproofed only the kitchen sink area instead of the entire kitchen and yard flooring. We only managed to rectify this because we happened to notice it while on-site, and the subcontractor simply mentioned that he was unaware that the full area required waterproofing, despite it already indicated in the quotation.
In addition, we received poor guidance from the project manager on several matters, such as the recommended fan sizes for the rooms. We were advised to select smaller fans even though larger sizes could have been accommodated. Some of the fans were also installed off-centre within the rooms.
Another concern was the lack of adequate protection for our parquet flooring during the renovation works. We had to repeatedly remind both the workers and the project manager to properly cover and safeguard the flooring throughout the renovation.
There were also issues with the carpentry workmanship, as certain pieces were not fabricated to the correct measurements, resulting in large silicone gaps between the carpentry and the flooring.
